The low-lying land that makes up much of the Norfolk and Suffolk landscape means that we have estuaries meandering through the countryside. This results in habitats such as saltmarsh, and mudflats, which support a variety of species. The communities value this, and work to ensure residents and visitors work to live sustainably with their environment. Many of the areas are specially designated and legally protected. Coastal Partnership East supports the valuable work of these groups, which is so intrinsically linked with the coast.
